New Light

Written for SPIE Newsroom, this article features artist Sarah Hall and her work True North/Lux Nova, a stained glass window that incorporates solar cells into its design. The window acts as both a passive and active heating and lighting system for the Regent College, University of British Columbia’s underground library.

More information about Sarah’s work is available at her website. A story featured in SPIE Professional that discusses a variety of applications of photonics and optics to the art world, and vice versa, is available to SPIE members here
