Mapping Gangs and Cupcakes in Mission District, S.F.

This map was created as part of an article about gang violence in the Mission District in San Francisco, CA, and how it interferes with local coffee shops and other businesses. While it is a scary story, it is also an interesting visual comparison of "sweets vs. the unsavory" as one tweeter put it.

One way of taking statistics, demographic data, and other bland data points and making an impact.
