Plastiki to set sail

The Plastiki, a boat built from recycled plastic, is expected to begin a 100-day crossing of the Pacific Ocean in March to test the seaworthiness of new materials and draw attention to ocean-borne plastic waste. The boat is now undergoing sea trials in San Francisco Bay.
