The latest in fashion: lasers

The latest fashion trend? Lasers. The servo-driven lasers were engineered and programmed by Waldemeyer, and appeared on Hussein Chalayan’s 2007 Fall wardrobe. Or maybe it was his Spring wardrobe, but it debuted in Fall, I can never keep track of those things.

Check out pictures, video of the fashion show (and Chalayan’s reasoning), and more…

The laser design is from the pre-recession days of indulgent spending, including clothing, so maybe that’s out, but it’s still fairly affordable to make something like this yourself…or just get an LED faux-fur coat. Ick!

Better yet, just make yourself an LED hoodie or t-shirt.
